We understand this is a worrying time for all and many are concerned about
what is going on around the world, and in our own country. We too feel equally as concerned. We are currently continuing with our window cleaning service under the latest guidance from the
Government, we hope this brings a sense of normailty to our customers lives. Here is the current guidance found on the Gov.uk website:
4. Should I stay at home or go to work?
You may travel for
work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home.
Certain jobs require
people to travel to their place of work – for instance if they operate machinery, work in construction or manufacturing, or are delivering front line services such as train and bus drivers.
5. I’m not a critical worker and I can’t work from home. What should I do?
If you cannot work
from home then you can still travel to work. This is consistent with the Chief Medical Officer’s advice.
Anyone who has
symptoms or is in a household where someone has symptoms should not go to work and should self-isolate.
6. How can I find out if my work is essential or not?
The government is
not saying only people doing “essential” work can go to work. Anyone who cannot work from home can still go to work.
Every worker –
whether critical or not – should work from home if they can but may otherwise travel to work.
So the government are advising at the moment that we can go to work, as long as we can follow 2 pieces of
1. We cannot work from home. Which of course is impossibe for us to do.
2. We can always maintain the social distancing guidelines. Which we can do, more on that
Of course of utmost importance to us is the health of us and our customers, so with that in mind we mind we also personally phoned
Public Health England to ask their advice. Again they advised us we were absolutely fine to work as long as we stuck to the guidelines. So with that in mind here are the steps we are taking to
continue our service but ensure our customers are safe.
. All customers will be notified in advance of our visit.
. Our hands will be sanitised between each of our customers houses, and gloves will be worn.
. We request that if at all possible our customers remain indoors while we are there, in all regards a distance of at least 2m must be
maintained between us and our customers. Please feel free to wave through the window we still want to keep a friendly service.
. Any customers who have received a letter from the department of health asking them to shield must make us aware of this and we will
postpone your clean for minimum 12 weeks.
. All payments to be made electronically to avoid face to face contact.
